Matt’s been gone for a year. It doesn’t feel like it’s been that long.
I cry almost every time I listen to Switchfoot’s “Yesterdays”. Matt would have made fun of me for that, for sure.
The line that resonates with me is “Every lament is a love song”. I wouldn’t cry if I didn’t love him. So, here you go…
Indeed he would have made fun of you crying…and he would have made fun of Switchfoot.

I cannot believe a year has passed..love you Chris…miss Matt!
It sure has been a surreal year. Hardly a day goes by without thinking about Matt. I still keep thinking I will run into him somewhere. I’ll glance at someone similar looking or hear what seems like his laugh and have to stop for a moment to remember that it is not him. Thank you, Chris for noting this day and for sharing your love for him. Matt’s life has forever changed so many of us.
