I found out that SNL’s Fred Armisen was doing a show in town tonight and immediately emailed Greg Lawler, Jeff Hatfield and Kevin Grose! None of them responded. Stupid friends.
I ventured out on my own and I’m glad I did! Fred was awesome! He had a real casual, conversational type of show. He played a drum kit a couple times, doing impressions of drummers, etc. He’s stinkin’ good! Check him out on the MySpace or on national television, after the writers strike, where he rules!
Here I am pretending to have known Fred for a long time.

On the way home, I stopped to get sodas for Cameron Carey’s birthday lunch and noticed that someone may have run their SUV into Bee’s Wing Arts. I’m pretty sure Fred had nothing to do with that.

I hate Heath Bar Crunch, but I like Heath Ledger. He died today. This sucks. He leaves a 2yr old daughter. I’m looking forward to his work in the next Batman movie, Dark Knight.  Dark indeed:( Did I mention this sucks?

Sad day in Santa Barbara. We lost Gemina the “crooked-necked giraffe”. I will miss one of natures most graceful freak shows. It just won’t be the same without her.

Today is J.R.R. Tolkein’s birthday! I met Jeff Hatfield, Greg Lawler & Devon Capshaw at Dargan’s to hang out and toast “The Professor” at 9pm like many other Tolkein nerds across the planet. Don’t hold it against Devon as he was there to hang with the fellas. I wouldn’t want to ruin his chances with the ladies by hanging with the likes of me.
