When Jade & her mom headed for San Diego I was left to care for my 3 kids by myself. I know Jade does this 3 kids thing all the time, but she doesn’t do it with my limited skillset.
So far, things are going pretty well. We spent the day at my BFF Frank’s helping him clean out his shed. Loriann was there to teach my girls baking skills. I’m not being sexist, that’s what actaully happened. Next week we’ll have a traditional Amish Shed Moving. I’ll need more than a week to grow a neck beard. My other BFF, Jeff, helped too. He called dibs on playing Harrison Ford next week and said I could play Danny Glover. Uncool, Jeff. Besides, Danny Glover played a murderous thug, not one of the Amish bretheren. I’m not being racist, that’s what actually happened.
Tonight, we ended with Smores in the fireplace and a campout in the livingroom. Don’t tell Jade how smoothly things are going. She might go away more.

To be fair, Danny Glovers character was a dirty cop. Possibly misguided, maybe lost in his ideals. But not just some murderous thug.
That is SWEET! We should do that more often. And yes, I will go away more often if it goes this well. I love you for being such a great dad.
